Opener Property

Any audio item may be assigned the opener status from Edit Player

The opener property is useful in that it can identify songs that have a memorable or powerful start. When using scheduled playlists and format clocks, it becomes possible to specify when opener cuts should be played. For example, if you have a particularly loud jingle, you might expect that the song that follows it does not have a very quiet start - so you specify the opener property, which you have only set on songs that start strongly.

Openers also have an impact on tracked and dry audio overlays; you can specify that opener songs do not get overlain by spoken links in basic automation settings . Thus, you can avoid a tracked link voicing all over a memorable, interesting or loud intro.
